The brainstorm session was hectic and at time harsh, but good ideas were produced. Creating an original story for an event that has been 20 months in the making is quite a challenge, but we are New media students so I'm sure we are up to it.
I am really excited to start working on our radio story idea, it will give me a chance to talk to musicians (which is always fun) and allow me and Peggy to make uplifting use of our airtime in regard to the upcoming election, something we have had a desire to do for some time now. Its possible for us to do a story about musicians reaction to the election race without interviews, but it will be much more interesting if we can get in contact with someone to ask them specifically what inspired them. Working with artists is something that we are no strangers to but it is always unpredictable. We have just finished assembling a contact list and we will know by next week if we will be able to arrange interviews or if we will have to rethink our idea.
I have done special shows on KBVR-FM, with promos running ahead of time and pre-produced segments. but I have never produced a multi-platform story for the station. I am excited to have a pre-produced show ready for air with an accompanying web write up; and then plug it in to run as much as possible over the air.

I like it! Thanks for not putting my name in it. We are working together right? I'm just giving you a hard time. Anyways, just wanted to say that we should get together and brainstorm and contact all the people to showcase in our music artist's election coverage.
